The greatness of the Pure Aero continues with Babolat's 2023 line. The all new Pure Aero is here for a whole new generation of players on and off the tour! With its "best of class" combination of speed, spin and power, the Pure Aero is one of the most popular and versatile racquets ever made. This is the most versatile racket in the whole range at 300g making it the most suitable racket for players seeking power and control alike.

Babolat adds strategically-placed NF²-Tech flax inserts at the 3 o’clock, 9 o’clock, and handle positions for optimal shock absorption on this powerful frame. These natural flax fibers are carefully integrated into the frame to create the most feel and sensation yet. An added bonus: extra sound quality for that satisfying pop and an exceptional playing experience.

Designed to be the ultimate spin frame, the new Pure Aero helps you generate massive spin with even more stability and precision. Thanks to SMAC's upgraded SMACWRAP technology, Babolat have developed new Cortex Pure Feel, which the new Pure Aero now has at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock in the racket head, rather than just in the throat like the previous Pure Aero and AeroPro Drive. This provides better vibration dampening thanks to the integrated Cortex in the graphite.

This version of the Pure Aero is the most popular in the range thanks to the 300g weight, making it the most suitable for club players that are seeking power and optimal spin.

Additionally, the new Pure Aero also uses the faster racket head speed to give you a purer feeling and longer contact time between the ball and the string. Babolat's signature AeroModular technology has also been upgraded to AeroModular3 for the new Pure Aero; integrating the bumper and grommets with an optimised design to maintain the Pure Aero's signature fast head speeds and provide you with more spin. The new Pure Aero also uses a new generation of FSI Spin to increase your spin. The 16x19 string pattern and oblong shaped grommets at 6 o'clock and 12 o'clock in the racket head allows the ball to have a wider string interaction, which matches superbly with the longer contact time generated by Babolat's Woofer system that gives you a great feeling and superior control and comfort with every swing.

Ultimately, this results in a racket that matches the legendary firmer, purer feeling of the AeroPro Drive with the simply incredible sound and playability of the Pure Aero when you connect with the ball, making it the reference racket for players that use spin to dominate their opponents and a sensational weapon out on the court.

History of the Pure Aero

"When we understood how strong he would be, we decided to build a new racket completely adapted to his game. A racket that focuses on power and spin" - Eric Babolat, CEO of Babolat.

The history of the Pure Aero (originally known as the AeroPro Drive) is inextricably linked with that of Rafael Nadal, one of sport's greatest champions. Representing the unique relationship between Babolat and Rafa, the original AeroPro Drive was developed to provide Rafa with a racket that focused on power and spin. With its famous aerodynamic section, the AeroPro Drive was designed to be the 'Nadal racket' and has evolved to become an iconic part of the game. Now also used by professionals including Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Johanna Konta, Caroline Wozniacki, Genie Bouchard and Jack Sock, the Pure Aero has evolved to become one of the most popular tennis ranges around the world.
